Fruitvale School - Co Discovery Workshops

Kia ora koutou,You are invited as key partners and stakeholders within the school and wider community to co- create through a regenerative process the potential future of Fruitvale School and wellbeing of community and place.

This Regenerative Approach is designed and resourced by Whakaora and Ora Regenerative Lab. It is supported by Fruitvale school.

Workshop One
Date: Saturday 2 March 2024
Time: 10.30am - 3pm
Location: Fruitvale school HallCo-Discovery Process
Attendees: Key Partners and Stakeholders Mana Whenua, Ministry of Education, Local Board, School Board and Trustees, School Teachers, Staff and partnering organisations, Core Parent Community and Tamariki.
* Exploring the Potential of People, Place, Projects and School as a Whole.
* Identifying a Shared Direction for the school and community.
* Identifying the Schools Role within the larger living system of Whau, West Auckland.
* Creating the first stages of the Mauri Ora Compass that supports the role and shared direction of the school and stakeholders to enable health and vitality throughout the system.

Refreshments will be provided and  an Umu (hangi) will be laid down and served for lunch along with fresh green salads from the school garden.

* What new opportunities are being identified for economy, society, bi culture, education and ecology
* Next actions and process steps
* Creation of Mauri Ora Compass for Fruitvale School to help guide future direction

Ideally you are able to come to both workshops to explore together and contribute Whakaora is a social enterprise of Regenerative Development practitioners, uplifting thinking, bringing a living system approach, and alignment process together that enables communities to go beyond mechanical problem solving and plan for their living future. Te Mauri Ora Regenerative Action Compass, has been generated from He Puna Ora Lab at AUT.

It is a living systems wellbeing tool for communities to engage and navigate deep change. The compass assists groups to be more intentional, enhancing local and global wellbeing for whanau and whenua, people and planet.
