Whakawhanaungatanga - building relationshipsAt Fruitvale School, our students and their whānau represent over 30 different ethnic cultures from around the world. We like to do our very best to acknowledge these cultures by celebrating their specific language weeks throughout the year. In addition, at the start of each year, we also like to learn more about where everyone is from so we better know them. At the end of Term 1, we celebrated our learning by inviting everybody to come in their favourite cultural clothing. It was a riot of colour, music and fun.
