Celebrations:

These happen at the end of each term and are a way for the students to integrate learning into an experience they can share with their fellow students and the wider community of the school.

Sporting:

Fruitvale School competes in a wide range of competitions: See here for photos of our latest sporting exploits.

Cultural:

Fruitvale School incorporates dance and singing groups from as many of the cultures as we can retain tutors for. The children get excellent opportunities to participate and learn while having fun.

Assemblies:

Every second Friday from the first Friday of each term; so weeks 1,3,5,7,9 and the last week have a whole school assembly. These are times to recognise great work and effort in a wide range of areas: cultural, academic and sporting. The principal addresses the school and teachers and students get an opportunity to sing and present to each other. We have special assemblies at the end of the year to recognise the children moving on to higher levels of the schooling sector. Other special assemblies are held when we have visiting entertainers or visitors.
