Fruitvale School

Our classrooms are a unique community within a community. However they share a lot of common values and practices.

The teachers take great pride in creating classroom environments that excite and stimulate, that represent work from their students and serve to elucidate to the parents what the children have been studying. You will notice these build and change as each terms Inquiry and artwork associated with this Inquiry start to be posted on the walls. You will see examples of numeracy that is being worked on and an array of support material for children while they work.

Our classrooms work best when we have children arriving on time and leaving at 3pm.

We arrange our classrooms in a Tuakana / Teina Pattern as we believe there is a lot to be gained form Older children working with and building relationships with younger children. Please see or download a map of the school here.
